Improving Mobility
Improving mobility is the first thing we focus on in our office if it is needed. It can be broken down into two basic things: improving how joints move, and how the soft tissue elongates or stretches
For joint problems, During treatment we use chiropractic adjustments and joint distraction to improve joint mobility.
For improving joint mobility at home, we use different stretches and exercises to try and pull the joint apart and create space.
For soft tissue problems, we have various techniques we use in the office. Some people respond really well to trigger point work (NImmo, pin and stretch) and some clients respond better to Instrument Assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) or cupping.
For improving soft tissue mobility at home we like to utilize different muscle and fascial stretching to create tension throughout the tight tissue and allow it too lengthen overtime.
