Lower Back Pain
Lower back pain is the single leading cause of disability in the world. We see it on a daily basis and it is probably the number one thing that brings clients into our office. The tricky part of lower back pain is there is so many different causes of it. Some people have pain that is localized, some have it radiating (traveling) down the back, side or front of thigh. Some people have pain so bad they can not even walk.
When working with someone with lower back pain the first thing you must do is figure out what is generating the pain. You can do this through orthopedic testing or different movement testing. Once you have pinpointed the culprit, developing a treatment plan is the next step.
The treatments we use with clients can vary depending on the tissue or structures involved. We can utilize chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue treatments, exercises, breathing, and sometimes meditation.
One of the worst things you can do the majority of the time when dealing with lower back pain is bed rest.
If you or someone you know is dealing with lower back pain please schedule an evaluation.
