New Patient FAQ

  • What makes Health to Fitness Chiropractic different from other chiropractic offices?

We look at the full body trying to find the root cause. Pain can be felt in one place and have a cause elsewhere in the body.

  • Do I have to be in pain to schedule an appointment?

Not at all, we work with people in pain and without pain all the time. We like to help people be more active in all phases of care.

  • Do you work with active people and athletes?

Yes we love working with active people and athletes. Helping patients perform at their very best is what we love to do.

  • Do you work with people who aren't athletes?

Yes, you don’t need to be an athlete to be a patient in our office.

  • What ages do you treat?

We work with people of all ages. From little children to the elderly. Care might change with extremes at both ranges.

  • Can chiropractic care help me stay active as I get older?

Yes, chiropractic care can help manage pain from lots of different sources. Preparing the body to move and recognizing limitations and restrictions so you can improve upon them is important especially as we age.

  • Can you help me return to exercise after an injury?

Of course, that is what we focus on. Once we get the painful tissues under control it’s important to figure out why it happened in the first place.

  • What is your overall treatment philosophy?

Our philosophy stems from knowing the body is all connected. The only way to figure it out is to look at it from a whole body perspective and treating accordingly

  • What does Health. Wellness. Fitness. mean at your clinic?

Health, Wellness, Fitness. Those three words guide our care. If someone has a health problem (pain in our office typically), you shouldn’t focus on wellness. If wellness (good movement, nutrition, sleep, etc.), isn’t good, you shouldn’t focus on fitness. If you skip a phase it can lead to problems down the road.

  • What should I expect at my first appointment?

On the first visit you should expect us to spend some time talking about whats going on with you, your goals, and where you’re currently at. After that we do testing to determine what is causing your issues and how to help you. We start treatment the first day.

  • How long is the first visit?

The first visit is usually between 45-60 minutes. It depends on what you as a client have going on and what is causing the pain

  • How long are follow-up appointments?

Follow up Appointments are scheduled for 20 minutes in length.

  • What should I wear to my appointment?

The best thing to wear to your appointment is loose fitting clothing, Dress clothes or tight fitting clothing can make it harder to work on some areas.

  • Should I bring previous imaging or medical records?

Yes! If you have had any previous imaging of the area it can be beneficial to look. You should also bring in the radiology reports if you have access.

  • Will treatment start at my first appointment?

Treatments start on day 1. The only reason they don’t is if we think there is a red flag or possible contraindication. If there is a reason for not doing it, we will let you know and refer you to the appropriate place to get you help.

  • Do you accept walk-ins?

Yes we Do, Walk ins are always welcome. If we are busy and know it’ll be a while before we get to you, we will let you know how long it’ll be so you can wait or come back at an appropriate time.

  • How many visits will I need?

How many visits you need changes for every patient.
